Minister Davitashvili: “Fruit production and fruit processing export in 2020 has amounted to 200 million USD”

“Fruit industry has always been a traditional one for Georgia, that possesses an immense potential. Our goal is to complement production of highly competitive production. We deploy policies toward increasing competitive production. Georgia has a great chance for obtaining global positions, which will be achieved in few years.


Trends are visible. Fruit production and fruit processing export in 2020 has amounted into 200 million USD, thus, trade balance on the latter is positive and outlines that an exported production is more than an imported one. Positive trends in agriculture have been increasing for three years. We shall have major improvements in 2021 upon an increased export” – Minister Levan Davitashvili stated.
