Expanding the “Plant the Future” State Program

Today, the Session of the Government of Georgia adopted amendments to the “Plant the Future” State program, which has abolished limitations to the funding scope. Therefore, co-funding for cultivating gardens is possible at rural-agricultural sites nationwide. 

 

Amendments to the program has determined hectares and co-funding amount with regard to hail resistance programs and/or well/borehole/drip irrigation systems. Physical and legal persons will enjoy funding of hail resistance system for apple, pear and cherry gardens for not more than 10 %; as for the cooperatives with a status of agricultural-rural, villages at the ABL and mountainous settlements – the co-funding is not more than 20 %, funding applies to not more than 50 hectares of hail resistance system. In case of constructing a well/borehole (including pump station), co-funding will not exceed 50 % of the cost (15, 000 GEL per beneficiary); as for the cooperatives with a status of agricultural-rural, villages at the ABL and mountainous settlements – co-funding will not exceed 60 % of the cost (18, 000 GEL per beneficiary).
