Georgia exports peaches without hindrance

The harvesting and selling peaches is in an active phase in Kakheti region. Farmers and fruit processors declare, that they got a good quality and plentiful harvest this year, accordingly, the price of products has been increased, as well as export due to the high demand on fruit.

Georgian products are exported to Russia and other countries on a daily basis. According to the available data, the export rates of peaches and nectarines have been increased almost 18 times compared to the same period last year.

The single window principle is applied to increase the support, as well as to prepare and produce documents required for export this year as well, furthermore, special working group is engaged in the process, which carries out respective procedures during the season.
At the same time, relevant infrastructure was set up in the region, where refrigeration system is adopted and fruit receiving and processing enterprises are operating, enabling farmers to deliver their fruit without hindrance.
