outh Caucasus Ecosystem Research and Restoration Center to be established in Krtsanisi Forest Park
National Agency of Wildlife of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture is actively working on the development plan of Krtsanisi Forest Park, which will result in the creation of a center for research and restoration of the South Caucasus ecosystems in the forest park.
The construction of a fish farm, which will include species of Mtkvari river , restoration / releasing fish in seven lakes are planned in the forest-park, as well as arrangement of up to fifty locations for picnics.
After large-scale activities taken by the Agency of Wildlife, the park will regain its most important function. The forest-park provides a recreational and valuable space between Tbilisi and Rustavi cities. It will be possible to walk, or ride a bicycle or drive a mini electric car in the park.
