This year, the vineyard cadastre program will be completed in Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi regions. In the following years, it will cover all viticulture regions of Georgia.

The vineyard cadaster is available to all EU member states where the viticulture and winemaking industry is developed. Georgia will share and develop another important European experience by creating a vineyard cadaster.

The National Wine Agency has been implementing the Georgian Vineyard Cadastre Program since 2014. The establishment of the Georgian National Vineyard Cadastre will ensure the simplification and transparent conduct of the vintage process, traceability, and quality assurance of produced wine and other grape products.

Under the Vineyard Cadastre Program, from 2021, the registration of vineyards and delivery of crops to wine companies with a cadastral extract became mandatory for all winegrowers. According to recent data, about 20,000 viticulturist farmers have registered in the Kakheti region.
