Georgia has already exported hazelnut worth of 24,3 million USD
During the period of August 1 – September 12, 2021, Georgia has exported 5,5 thousand tonnes of hazelnut, which has amounted into 24,3 million USD. In comparison to the previous year, hazelnut export has boosted in 27 % (1,2 thousand tonnes).
The vast majority of the Georgian hazelnut is exported to the European Union’s markets - Italy (2 790 tonnes), Germany (747 tonnes), Spain (354 tonnes), Czechia (220 tonnes), Poland (168 tonnes), Lithuania (110 tonnes), Latvia (66 tonnes), France (65 tonnes), Estonia (44 tonnes), Bulgaria (22 tonnes), Belgium (20 tonnes).
Georgian hazelnut is also exported to the following countries - Armenia (354 tonnes), Ukraine (138 tonnes), Russia (82 tonnes), Iraq (72 tonnes), Belarus (71 tonnes), China (52 tonnes), UAE (40 tonnes), Mexico (28 tonnes), Argentina (26 tonnes), United Kingdom (22 tonnes), Turkey (22 tonnes) and Uzbekistan (22 tonnes).
