Nino Tandilashvili attends “Corporate Responsibility Award 2021 – Business for Sustainable Development in Georgia”

Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture participated in the Corporate Responsibility Award 2021 "Business for Sustainable Development". The event was organized by the Global Compact Network Georgia.

 

 At the award ceremony, Nino Tandilashvili noted, that competition aims to identify interesting initiatives, that foster development of the green economy, encourage production of less or no waste and use of alternative fuels in the country.

 

"We have revealed a company, which has a very interesting initiative towards implementing green projects. I think similar competitions are crucial, as far as, these types of events enable businesses to develop more initiatives and create more incentives for implementation of interesting projects in the private sector, regarding environmental protection field "- said Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili.

 

The Corporate Responsibility Award "Business for Sustainable Development" is intended for companies operating in the Georgian market, which are progressing and embracing modern values; This is an award for those companies, which set high standards and take steps to achieve sustainable development and bring long-term benefits to both the company and the community.

The Corporate Responsibility Award was organized by the Global Compact Georgia Network with the support of the Government of Sweden, in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the European Union.
