Levan Davitashvili hosted the Director of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)) program "Integrated Biodiversity Management in the South Caucasus (IBiS)"

Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Levan Davitashvili met with Mr. Hans-Joachim Lipp, Director of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)) program "Integrated Biodiversity Management in the South Caucasus (IBiS)".

The Minister expressed gratitude to Hans Joachim Lipp for seven years of fruitful cooperation and stressed the importance of support of GIZ in improving the management of biodiversity and ecosystem services in the country.

In the course of the meeting, Mr. Hans-Joachim Lipp stated, that Georgia has a clearly defined vision in the field of environmental protection, he also underlined the possibility of implementing important environmental projects in the country.


GIZ Program Director expressed readiness to support Georgia in the respective direction and wished the Minister success in his future endeavors.

The Deputy Minister Mr. Yuri Nozadze and Member of the Council of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Head of the Department of Biodiversity and Forestry of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Karlo Amirgulashvili attended the meeting.
