Farmer's Day celebrated on November 20

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Levan Davitashvili congratulated farmers on their day and thanked them for their significant contribution to strengthening the economy of the country.


"You are making a remarkable contribution towards strengthening the economy of our country. Georgian products are becoming high demand products in many markets around the world and that is on your own merits. Congratulations on this day and thanks for your tireless efforts. The state, in response, is your dedicated supporter.


The state agricultural development policy, as well as all programs we are implementing in the country pushes each of you to achieve success and, consequently, makes our country prosperous " - said the Minister.


In 2015 , Farmers' Day was set up in Georgia, henceforth, it is marked annually on November 20, embracing various large-scale events, exhibitions and sales, including award ceremony for successful farmers. 

 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Farmer's Day related outdoor events will not be held in the current year.
