Levan Davitashvili stated, that the state will be involved in raising qualification of people capable of work

The Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Levan Davitashvili spoke about new social policy approaches in a live televised address from Rustavi 2, he shed light on new policy, noting, that both private and public sectors will hire residents capable of work.

"The overall demand for labor force is quite high in the private sector, namely, jobs related to the primary agricultural production are mostly seasonal, although there is a fairly large imbalance between supply and demand. Moreover, in most cases, people refuse job offers and don’t find jobs, as they fear they may lose social assistance status. We would like to note, that new program will insure social assistance status to our residents, obviously, situation will be improved for them." Levan Davitashvili said.
 
The Minister spoke about the need to raise qualification of those people who should be employed under the new program and noted, that state plans to take appropriate measures in the respective area.


"We consider, that state should engage in the entire process and finance additional training courses for private sector staff to improve their qualifications and skills, ultimately qualified, professional staff will train potential employees and help them in raising their qualifications.

 

. Socially vulnerable people will be able to receive some practical and theoretical training in vocational schools, in which the Ministry of Education will be intensively involved. The state will incur additional costs to ensure that they have favorable working conditions" said the Vice Prime Minister.
 
Mr. Davitashvili stated, that as soon as people gain work experience and start participating in public labor activities, their desire will increase, gradually they will become more ambitious, focused to improve their skills and earn even more income, when they are qualified for their positions.

 

"We have a very ambitious plan and I personally take part in it. I fully share the vision of the Prime Minister. We need to show rapid results to the public and results should be very specific in all areas "Levan Davitashvili said.
