As of December 12, Georgia exported hazelnut worth of USD 73.8 mln

During the period of August 1 – December 12, 2021, Georgia exported 16.1 thousand tonnes of hazelnut, which has amounted into USD 73.8 mln. 

 

The volume of exports increased by 33 % (4.0 tonnes) during the aforementioned period, while the value of exports increased by 14%, amounting to USD 8.9 mln, compared to the same period in 2020.

 

The vast majority of Georgian hazelnut is exported to EU markets - Italy (6,590 tonnes), Germany (3,124 tonnes), Spain (446 tonnes), Czech Republic (445 tonnes), Poland (337 tonnes), Lithuania (284 tonnes), France (278 tonnes), Bulgaria (132 tonnes), Greece ( 71 tonnes), Latvia (70 tonnes), Estonia (60 tonnes), Belgium (41 tonnes), Hungary (22 tonnes), Croatia (20 tonnes).

 

 

Georgian hazelnuts is also exported to the following countries: Armenia (1,076 tonnes), China (780 tonnes), Ukraine (278 tonnes), Russia (358 tonnes), Algeria (241 tonnes), Saudi Arabia (251 tonnes), Belarus (208 tonnes), Iraq (168 tonnes), Switzerland (151 tonnes), Mexico (120 tonnes), Canada (95 tonnes), Azerbaijan (82 tonnes), Argentina (77 tonnes), United Arab Emirates (61 tonnes), Kazakhstan (45 tonnes), Turkey (44 tonnes), Uzbekistan ( 44 tonnes), United Kingdom (22 tonnes), Kyrgyzstan (22 tonnes), Tunisia (15 tonnes), Jordan (14 tonnes).
