From August 1 – December 26, 2021, Georgia exported 17.0 thousand tonnes of hazelnut, which has amounted into USD 77.2 mln.
The volume of exports increased by 28 % (3.7 tonnes) during the aforementioned period, while the value of exports increased by 10%, amounting to USD 7.2 mln, compared to the same period in 2020.The vast majority of Georgian hazelnut is exported to EU markets - Italy (7,054 tonnes), Germany (3,140 tonnes), Spain (478 tonnes), Czech Republic (445 tonnes), Poland (337 tonnes), Lithuania (305 tonnes), France (300 tonnes), Bulgaria (132 tonnes), Greece (71 tonnes), Latvia (70 tonnes), Estonia (60 tonnes), Belgium (41 tonnes), Hungary (22 tonnes), Croatia (20 tonnes).
Georgian hazelnut is also exported to the following countries : (1,198 tonnes), China (780 tonnes), Ukraine (301 tonnes), Russia (358 tonnes), Saudi Arabia (276 tonnes), Belarus (251 tonnes), Algeria (241 tonnes), Iraq (168 tonnes), Switzerland (151 tonnes), Mexico (120 tonnes), Canada (120 tonnes), Argentina (91 tonnes), Azerbaijan (82 tonnes), United Arab Emirates (75 tonnes), Turkey (68 tonnes), Kazakhstan ( 45 tonnes), Uzbekistan (44 tonnes), Tunisia (27 tonnes), United Kingdom (22 tonnes), Kyrgyzstan (22 tonnes), Jordan (14 tonnes).
