Nino Tandilashvili paticipates in the 14 th Berlin Agriculture Ministers’ Conference

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili paticipates in the virtual 14th Berlin Agriculture Ministers’ Conference at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) 

In 2022, the participants of the Ministerial set focus on the main topic "Sustainable Land Use: Food Security Starts with the Soil."
 The world’s largest forum was attended by Ministers of Agriculture from 70 countries and high-level officials of more than a dozen international organizations, embracing FAO, UNCCD, WTO.

The discussions (BOS) within the framework of the Berlin Ministerial set focus on four central issues: Soil Health, Rehabilitation of Degraded Soil, Land Access, and Property Rights.
 The high-rank officials agreed on joint position regarding the main topic: “Sustainable Land Use: Food Security Starts with the Soil”.

The event was organized by Global Community -TMG Research and ThinkTank for Sustainability, co-organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Kenya, the Ministry of Planning and Development of the Republic of Benin, the Department of Forestry at the Ministry of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining of the Republic of Malawi, Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Madagascar and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia highlighted current, crucial issues with the French side.
