As of February 6, hazelnut export from Georgia amounted to USD 88.9 million

From August 1, 2021 to February 6, 2022, Georgia exported 19.4 thousand tonnes of hazelnuts, which amounted to USD 88.9 million.


The volume of exported hazelnuts increased by 28% ( 4.3 thousand tonnes), while the value increased by11%, amounting to USD 8.5 million, compared to the same period last year.

 
Georgian hazelnuts are mainly exported to the EU markets - Italy (8,075 tonnes), Germany (3,666 tonnes), Spain (591 tonnes), Czech Republic (489 tonnes), Poland (379 tonnes), Lithuania (393 tonnes), France (375 tonnes) , Bulgaria (144 tonnes), Greece (71 tonnes), Latvia (70 tonnes), Estonia (98 tonnes), Belgium (41 tonnes), Hungary (22 tonnes), Croatia (20 tonnes).

Georgian hazelnuts are exported to the following countries: Armenia (1,335 tonnes), China (785 tonnes), Russia (422 tonnes), Ukraine (361 tonnes), Algeria (241 tonnes), Saudi Arabia (326 tonnes), Belarus (251 tonnes), Iraq ( 168 tonnes), Switzerland (173 tonnes), Mexico (120 tonnes), Canada (120 tonnes), Argentina (105 tonnes), Azerbaijan (82 tonnes), United Arab Emirates (75 tonnes), Kazakhstan (45 tonnes), Turkey ( 92 tonnes), Uzbekistan (66 tonnes), Tunisia (27 tonnes), United Kingdom (22 tonnes), Kyrgyzstan (44 tonnes), Jordan (30 tonnes).
