Otar Shamugia met with the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Ruslan Abashidze

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia held a meeting with the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Ruslan Abashidze.

In  the course of the  meeting, the sides highlighted projects in the agricultural and environmental protection fields, which are being implemented by the Ministry in the villages adjacent to the border line in occupied regions.
 
‘’It is obvious, that I have a special relationship with Abkhazia and IDPs. The Ministry is constantly cooperating with the Government of Abkhazia. We are working on support programs and projects to ensure active involvement of IDPs and help them to improve their economic and social conditions "- said Mr. Shamugia.
The participants set focus  on the programs of the Rural Development Agency, which provide additional benefits to the population living in the villages adjacent to the demarcation line in the occupied regions and provide 10% more co-financing.

The Chairman of the Government of Abkhazia, Ruslan Abashidze thanked the Minister for his support.
The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. George Khanishvili and the Minister of Finance and Economy of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Levan Tevzaia attended the meeting.
