"We are obliged to make a concrete decision for each case, that will be in the best interests of our citizens, farmers, and entrepreneurs.

"We are the Government, which takes responsibility for all issues, therefore, we make a decision with a sense of responsibility," Mr. Otar Shamugia, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture told the representatives of media after the Government session.

The Minister commented on the issues, regarding permission to export Georgian products of animal origin to the Eurasian Economic Union.
"I think, that there is no room for misunderstanding. The negotiation process started in 2020. As for the communication, the communication was held a few days ago. According to the information provided by the Russian side,  the products of 15 companies have access to the Russian market" Mr. Shamugia said.

According to the Minister, a few days ago, the Head of the National Food Agency held a communication at the initiative of the Russian side, upon request of certain companies.
