Minister of Environmental and Agriculture of Georgia meets with the Ambassador of Israel

Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Georgia Ran Gidor.

At the meeting, the parties underlined the importance of long-term relations between the two countries and discussed the prospects for future cooperation.

The Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Ambassador of Israel for supporting the development of the agricultural sector in Georgia. The conversation touched upon the educational programs implemented by Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation," Mashav" for Georgian entrepreneurs. 

Under the frame of the ‘’Mashav’’ programs, agricultural workers, farmers, and entrepreneurs have an opportunity to acquire knowledge tailored to modern needs, including the adoption of new technologies.

It was mentioned, that sharing Israel's experience to Georgian partners towards the development of the agricultural sector is of the utmost importance.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Shamugia spoke about the trade potential and possibilities to exploit existing export/import potential between Israel and Georgia and expressed the desire to deepen trade and economic relations between the two countries. 


Deputy Minister Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili attended the meeting at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
