Otar Shamugia: " The survey conducted by the research organization GORBI, confirms that the policy and decisions made by the Prime Minister are supported by the majority of the population"

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia, answered the questions posed by the representatives of the media, after the Government session. He noted that, currently, Georgia has trade relations with Russia.

"We import certain products - wheat, flour, etc., this is a reality; Some products enter the country, some products are exported. We express our full support and solidarity with the people of Ukraine, however, it is important to think about the interests of our people and avoid harming them to the greatest degree possible.
 
"Relevant research was conducted, which confirmed that the policy and decisions made by the Prime Minister on this issue are supported by the majority of the population," Mr. Shamugia stated.
It should be noted, that according to a survey conducted by the international research organization "GORBI", 64.5% of Georgian residents consider, the Georgian Dream Government not joining the economic sanctions against Russia, as the right step.
