Agricultural cooperatives will be able to store their crops in compliance with the modern standards

In accordance with the decision made at the session of the Government of Georgia, an additional, separate program will be implemented to support agricultural cooperatives.

Under the terms of the state program "Co-financing Storage Enterprises for Agricultural Cooperatives ", the Rural Development Agency provides co-financing for storage and refrigeration infrastructure, which will be used only for storing vegetables and potatoes.

The co-financing for an enterprise with a storage capacity of 500 tonnes is not more than 80% of its total cost, not exceeding GEL 450,000. 

According to the program, the number of potential beneficiaries, or shareholders of the agricultural cooperative should not be less than 20 shareholders, the land owned by each shareholder should not be less than 0.1 ha, and the total area of the land (plots) owned by the potential beneficiary and/or beneficiary shareholders should include at least 20 hectares.
