Otar Shamugia: "Our policy, which has been purposefully implemented to support market diversification, is yielding concrete results"
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia commented on the wine exports related issues at the meeting with the media representatives, after the Government session, noting that the growth rate of export exceeded 40% in January-February 2022.Â
"Overall, the export of agricultural products is growing, which actually indicates, that our policy, which has been purposefully implemented to increase agricultural production and support market diversification over the years, is yielding concrete results, and these results are recently reflected in the increase in exports of agricultural production.
Last year we had a significant increase, which approved over USD 200 million worth of exports of agricultural products. The list of countries where our products are exported is growing, which also indicates, that the diversification policy is ‘’active’’ and we help farmers in the respective area as much as possible "- said Mr. Otar Shamugia.
