Otar Shamugia met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Georgia, Maaike van Koldam

 Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Georgia Mrs. Maaike Van Koldam.

During the meeting, the sides discussed projects implemented in Georgia with the support of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and drew their attention to the issues of future cooperation.

The Minister noted, that supporting agricultural production in the country, as well as promoting Georgian products to the international markets is a priority for the Ministry.

" A number of projects are being implemented for the development of processing enterprises and storage facilities through co-financing of the Ministry; We also have programs to support cooperatives, which help them in increasing production of quality agricultural products, "- said Mr. Otar Shamugia.
 
Mrs. Maike Van Koldam noted, that 20 Georgian trainers have been trained in the horticulture and dairy farming fields, who will further provide qualified assistance to Georgian farmers and share international practice.

According to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Government of the Netherlands will continue to actively support the Government of Georgia in funding priority areas for the country. 
It was pointed out, that Georgia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, which is an important date.
Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Nino Tandilashvili attended the meeting at the Ministry.
