Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia paid tribute to the memory of the first President of Georgia Zviad Gamsakhurdia
Mr. Otar Shamugia together with the State Representative of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region laid flowers at the bust statue of Zviad Gamsakhurdia .
"I would like to congratulate the people of Georgia on this historic day. The citizens of our country unanimously supported the restoration of Georgia's independence 31 years ago. At the same time, today is the birthday of the first President of Georgia, Zviad Gamsakhurdia, who has made a great contribution to the national-liberation movement and fight for Georgia’s freedom. "We will honor his memory," Mr. Otar Shamugia said.
The first president of Georgia, Zviad Gamsakhurdia would have turned 83 today.
Today, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture accompanied by the State Representative of Samegrelo visited the Enguri bridge near the occupation line of Abkhazia.
