Ensuring an uninterrupted supply of pesticides and agrochemicals

Mr. George Khanishvili, First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, and Mr. Zurab Chekurashvili, Head of the National Food Agency met with the importers of agrochemicals and pesticides. The existing stocks of pesticides and agrochemicals, as well as import-related issues, have been discussed at the meeting.

" We have discussed preparations for spring works at the meeting today. According to the representatives of the companies importing agrochemicals and pesticides, the network is ready to fully meet the demand of farmers during the spring works.
There are sufficient supplies in the country, and the goods intended for consumption within the year have been already imported in advance. The import is carried out from different countries, mainly European countries Mr. George Khanishvili said. 

 

The participants noted that, despite the difficult situation in the region, there are no delays in the supplies of goods.

According to the general manager of the company "Boranagro", Sandro Oniava, there are reserves in the country, which will meet the demand of farmers throughout the year.
The meeting was attended by representatives of about 20 companies importing agrochemicals and pesticides.Â
