"Georgian wine products were presented at all important international exhibitions, competitions, and festivals, international wine conferences, and tens of media tours have been organized for wine professionals. The popularization of Georgian wine has not been interrupted even during a pandemic;

Last year, an active marketing campaign was launched in Europe, the US, and Asia," – said the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. Otar Shamugia, while addressing the Members of Parliament under the frame of "Minister’s Hour".

According to the Minister, a new state program has been launched this year to promote Georgian wine, which envisages the funding of marketing expenses of wine companies by the state. "Marketing expenses include activities aimed at finding international trading partners, entering different types of merchants, and increasing sales, except in the CIS countries," – stated Mr. Otar Shamugia.

The Minister stressed, that as a result of the measures taken to popularize Georgian wine, the geography of exporting countries has increased from 40 to 60 in recent years, and the US, Poland, Germany, China, and the Baltic states have been firmly established in the top ten exporting countries.
