Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Agency for Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the Estonian Environmental Board

Within the framework of the cooperation between the Agency for Protected Areas of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the Estonian Environmental Board (Governing Body of Protected Areas in Estonia), Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Yuri Nozadze, and Deputy Chairperson of the Agency for Protected Areas Mrs. Tamar Khakhishvili held a working visit to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
  
The officials held a meeting in Lahemaa National Park, where they signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which envisages sharing of best practices, knowledge and information between the two countries, implementation of joint projects and activities aimed at improving the management of protected areas.


The Memorandum was signed by Mr. Yuri Nozadze, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Davit Iosebashvili, Chairman of the Agency for Protected Areas, Mr. Marku Lamp, Deputy Secretary-General of the Estonian Ministry of Environment, and Mr. Rainer Vakra, Director General of the Environmental Board.


It should be mentioned, that a photo exhibition of Georgian national parks was opened in Lahemaa National Park, Estonia, which is a unique opportunity to popularize the unique nature of Georgia around the world.
Lahemaa National Park is the first national park in Estonia, which is very popular among visitors and known as one of the most popular tourist attractions in Estonia.
