Otar Shamugia: "Our country's European integration is our common choice and, I believe, that joint efforts will be a precondition for Georgia to return to the European family"
Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia congratulates the public on Europe Day.
"The EU Delegation to Georgia, together with the EU Member States and Georgian citizens is celebrating Europe Day. The strong position and support of the EU to Georgia, as well as standing by our country underlines the close relationship between the EU and Georgia.
 I would like to congratulate everyone on Europe Day and express my hope, that Georgia will soon be a worthy member of the European Union, particularly since we have already taken effective steps forward.
The theme of 2022 Europe Day "Me and Europe" reflects the common experience and traditions ,which have established a close relationship between the EU and Georgia.
The public is aware that the second, sectoral part of the European Commission Questionnaire includes 33 chapters and up to 2300 questions from all sectors; The EU had set May 13 as the deadline for its submission , but the questionnaire was completed earlier.
I would like to express my special thanks to each employee of the Ministry who has done a great job in the process of completing the questionnaire in the environmental protection and agricultural fields. Reasoned and competent answers to up to 300 sectoral questions were prepared in the shortest possible time.Â
