Otar Shamugia: "We will continue supporting and embracing many new initiatives"

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia is paying a visit to Kakheti region, where he will get familiar with the projects implemented within the framework of the state programs and will hold meetings with the farmers.

"At the initiative of the Prime Minister of Georgia, we have started supporting farmers who have small agricultural land plots and do not have access to loans. Farmers are very actively involved in the program. Approximately, GEL 7 million worth of goods have already been purchased under the program.

All aforementioned activities are implemented to maximize the support of our farmers, reduce costs and produce more quality agricultural products, thus, we will continue supporting and embracing many new initiatives" Mr. Otar Shamugia said.

As stated by the Minister, against the background of the current trend in the world, when prices are rising for both fuel, fertilizers and other products, it is important to enable farmers receive maximum support from the state.
