Draft Law of Georgia on "Industrial Emissions" to discuss with the business sector
The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili delivered opening remarks at the working meeting, where the draft law on ‘’Industrial Emissions’’ have been discussed by the participants.
Business Association of Georgia has organized the meeting with the representatives of the business sector and relevant agencies of the Ministry to discuss the draft law.
Mrs. Tandilashvili spoke at length about the importance of the draft law and stressed the need to involve the representatives of the business sector in the process of drafting /discussing the respective document.
 "As you are all aware, the fulfillment of the obligations taken under the EU-Georgia Association Agreement is fundamental for drafting the law. Our goal is to develop an effective legal framework with maximum coordination with the private sector, which, ultimately, should help to reduce the environmental pollution," - Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili stated.
It should be mentioned, that the draft law aims to prevent, reduce and control emissions of ambient air, water and soil caused by industrial activities.
