Otar Shamugia meets the Minister of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Mr. Otar Shamugia met with the newly appointed Minister of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Mr. Zaza Shavadze.

The ongoing projects in the agricultural and environmental protection fields have been discussed at the meeting.

 "  In close coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara,  we should implement measures as effectively as possible, to promote agricultural development, as well as environmental protection field" - said Mr. Otar Shamugia.

The conversation touched upon the preparations for the citrus season and ongoing activities taken under the strategy for combating the brown marmorated stink bug.
" We look forward to continuing our joint cooperation in the future and I believe, that current projects in the agricultural and environmental protection fields in Adjara will have significant results," - said Mr. Zaza Shavadze.

The First Deputy Minister Mr. George Khanishvili and advisers to the Minister Mr. Davit Tsitlidze and Mr. Jemal Putkaradze attended the meeting.
