George Khanishvili delivers a speech at the Turkish-Georgian Business Forum "Chveneburebi"

The First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. George Khanishvili delivered a speech at the Turkish-Georgian Business Forum "Chveneburebi".

During the forum, The First Deputy Minister spoke widely about the state agricultural projects and investment opportunities in the country.



"The state creates a favorable business climate for foreign investors to do business. Our goal is to increase the crop yields in the country,  use Georgian land efficiently and improve the quality of the produced products. I believe, that many businessmen interested in agro-industries will arrive in the country in the near future, which will further contribute to the development of Georgian agriculture, "- stated Mr. Khanishvili.

 

Turkey-Georgia Business Forum ‘’Chveneburebi’’ opened for the first time in Georgia with the support of the Georgian Foreign Ministry and on the initiative of the Georgian Diaspora in Turkey.

The forum aims to inform the representatives of the Turkish business sector about the investment environment and economic opportunities of Georgia and expand the trade - economic cooperation between the two countries. 

 

The Business Forum was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Mr. Ilia Darchiashvili, the Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mr. Levan Davitashvili, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia Mr. Osman Turan and the Chairman of the Turkish Businessmen Association Mr. Fatma Geren Yazgan.

Over 100 Turkish businesspersons, potential investors, members of the trade-industrial chamber and representatives from the agriculture, food and tourism sectors arrived in Georgia.
