Minister pays a visit to newly planted vineyard of the Company "Mukhati Cellar"
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia accompanied by the State Representative of Kvemo Kartli Mr. Giorgi Dokhturishvili paid a visit to Tetritskaro Municipality, where Government officials inspected the newly planted vineyard of the Company ‘’Mukhati Marani’’, and got acquainted with the construction activities of a small wine cellar - a beneficiary company of the Rural Development Agency.
"Development of viticulture and winemaking sector is a top priority for us. The state support enabled our beneficiary company to plant a new vineyard in Tetritskaro municipality. The aforementioned company currently undertakes the construction of a modern winery and plans to arrange/ organize the hotel infrastructure, entailing the creation of an agro-tourism space and facilities, which are crucial for the development of tourism, and promotion of Georgian quality products ”said Mr. Otar Shamugia, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
Under the framework of the state program ‘’ Plant the Future, ’ in 2020, the company "Mukhati Marani" received co-financing of GEL 44,800 for planting a vineyard on 5 hectares of agricultural land area.
The respective company has benefited from the preferential agro-credit of GEL 1.5 million for the construction of a wine cellar. Under the co-financing program for agricultural mechanization, the company received GEL 233,500 worth of agricultural machinery with a 30% co-financing.
