Otar Shamugia meets the USAID -Georgia Mission Director Peter Wiebler

Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia held a meeting with Mr. Peter Wiebler, Mission Director of the USAID -Georgia.

The parties summed up jointly implemented and ongoing projects during the meeting. It was mentioned, that Mr. Wiebler is ending his mission in Georgia in 2022.
Mr. Shamugia expressed his gratitude to the USAID Georgia Mission Director for supporting Georgia over the years. The conversation touched upon food security-related issues.

The sides also discussed how to deepen cooperation and strengthen the capacity of the National Food Agency.

 

As stated by Mr. Wiebler, USAID will continue supporting Georgia in the agricultural development and environmental protection fields. 

 

Mr. George Khanishvili, the First Deputy Minister, Mrs. Marika Olson, Director of the Economic Growth Office at USAID, officials of the National Food Agency, and representatives of the relevant service attended the meeting at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
