George Khanishvili attends the Presentation of the "Agrolab" Agricultural Laboratory

The representatives of international organizations, business sector and farmers attended the presentation of the "Agrolab" laboratory and the satellite platform, which was organized by Georgian Farmers Association (GFA).

"Today, Georgian Farmers Association and the "Agrolab" are jointly making a presentation, where we touch upon not only the need to have laboratories in the country, but also we underline the necessity, that we have to work continuously to increase farmers’ awareness, that  knowledge is the key to success. The state has been continuously developing the laboratory system over the last 5-6 years, significant financial resources are being spent in the respective area. Moreover, independent laboratories are also being established in the country, in parallel with the state laboratories. We have achieved success, and currently, honey export has increased by 83 % to Europe.

It should be mentioned, that comprehensive analysis is already being performed in Georgia. It is crucial to equip all laboratories with modern equipment across the country, so that the farmer does not have to come to the capital to get the results of the analysis," said Mr. Khanishvili.

The Chairperson of the Georgian Farmers Association, Mrs. Nino Zambakhidze spoke about the importance of the modern laboratory "Agrolab". The multi-profile molecular laboratory is equipped with modern technologies, which enables to carry out comprehensive studies with high-quality guarantees, regarding food safety, veterinary, plant protection, soil and water fields.

Georgian Farmers Association will offer a professional subscription package on the ‘’EOS Crop Monitoring platform’’ to all persons interested in the agricultural activities. Within its competence, the Association will ensure agricultural consultations, as well as development of farmers' technological skills and knowledge.Â
