Otar Shamugia: "We are launching a new state program, which will significantly contribute to the development of bio-production in the country"
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia spoke about the new Bioproduction Promotion Programme.

''We are launching a state program of bioproduction, which is very important in promoting the development of bioproduction in the country. As we are all aware, the demand for organic products is increasing worldwide, including in Georgia. Therefore, we should help our farmers and support them in transitioning to organic production.
The new program envisages 70 per cent of co-financing, both in the certification process and consulting services, in the purchase of biofertilizers and materials for winemaking and beekeeping, and we will also finance the laboratory costs of beekeepers", Mr. Shamugia said.
