Otar Shamugia inspected the fruit processing enterprise created with the support of the Rural Development Agency
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia, together with the Chair of the Agrarian Issues Committee, Mrs. Nino Tsilosani and State Representative in the Kakheti region, Mr. Irakli Shioshvili paid a visit to the fruit and vegetable processing enterprise LTD "Georgian Agro Product", where high rank officials got familiar with the peach receiving /processing activities.

It should be mentioned, that the aforementioned company in the village of Chumlakhi, Gurjaani Municipality was created through state financial support. In total, more than 4 million GEL was invested in the enterprise, including GEL 600,000 as a grant, and GEL 1.5 million as a preferential agro-credit. The enterprise employs 15 people and can process 5,000 tonnes of fruits and vegetables annually.
The company sells its products under the brand name " Ketili da Patiosani’’, which means ‘’Kind and Honest". As part of the technical assistance program, the company has introduced the ISO standard. The products are currently sold in the local market, as well as in Great Britain, USA and Qatar. The company plans to export its products to France and Germany this year.
Within the framework of the co-financing project of processing and storage enterprises of the Rural Development Agency, 15 processing enterprises have been built through state financing in the Kakheti region, the total investment exceeds GEL 25 million, the state co-financing exceeds GEL 7 million.
