Export documents are issued jointly by the National Food Agency and the Revenue Service by using the "Single Window’’ approach

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia visited the Gurjaani office of the National Food Agency to get acquainted with the activities of the coordination centre, which promotes the smooth export of agricultural products.

The representatives of the National Food Agency provided the Minister, Kakheti State Representative, Mr. Irakli Shioshvili and Chair of the  Agrarian Issues Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, Mrs.  Nino Tsilosani with the information regarding phytosanitary procedures and certification required for export products.

The National Food Agency, jointly with the Revenue Service, issues documents required for export by using a ‘’ Single Window’’ approach.

"The coordination headquarters operating in Kakheti coordinates the entire process. Exporters can easily obtain all necessary documents under the ‘’Single Window’’ principle.

‘’We aim to promote all links in the agricultural value chain and support farmers. We should continue implementing projects, which will be adjusted to specific needs to achieve successful results in all areas,'' Mr. Otar Shamugia stated. A high number of requests is observed at the coordination centre, upon which the National Food Agency inspects the cargo intended for export to subsequently issue a phytosanitary certificate.
