Minister holds a meeting with the representatives of apple processing companies
During the working meeting with the representatives of apple processing and juice concentrate manufacturer companies, the Minister of Environmental and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia highlighted apple harvest-related issues and stated that a correct and effective decision will be made through constructive cooperation of the parties.
"The apple harvesting-storing-selling process should be conducted in a smooth manner, with active communication with the entrepreneurs and all links of the sector ", the Minister said.
The apple harvest is expected to be abundant this year, approximately 130-135 thousand tonnes; Companies will start receiving apples from the beginning of September.
The Heads and representatives of relevant departments and services of the Ministry attended the meeting.
