George Khanishvili meets honey producers and exporters
Mr. George Khanishvili, the First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture held a meeting with the honey producers and exporters.
The challenges faced by the beekeeping field have been discussed by parties, who also overviewed the honey bee export-related requirements.
Mr. Khanishvili emphasized the importance of close partnership between the state and the private sector, he also highlighted issues regarding the production of high-quality products and the efficiency of cooperation in the beekeeping field.
As stated by the First Deputy, our country can establish its place in the world market with premium quality, branded products, through state support programs promoting the development of the industry and by re-equipment of laboratories.
During the meeting, the sides touched upon issues of simplifying the preparation of export documentation.
The representatives of the National Food Agency attended the meeting.
