Nino Tandilashvili meets Albert Park, Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili met with Mr. Albert Park, Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current and future cooperation issues.

Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili extensively discussed the priorities of the Ministry and underlined the importance of attracting investments and developing climate-smart agriculture in the country. 

 

The conversation touched upon the obligations taken by Georgia within the framework of the Paris Agreement, the parties discussed specific activities undertaken in the agricultural sector to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases.

 

The parties highlighted the challenges and effects of climate change and brought forward solutions to deal with the aforementioned issues.
According to Mr. Albert Park, the Asian Development Bank is ready to support the development of climate-smart agriculture in Georgia.

 

The representatives of relevant agencies of the Ministry attended the meeting.
