Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia participates in the Ministerial meeting in Prague

The Czech Republic hosted the Ministerial meeting as part of its Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

 

The Ministers of the member states of the European Union, the EU Commissioner for Agriculture and high-ranking officials of the European Union structures addressed global food security threats and related solutions during the Ministerial meeting.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Mr. Otar Shamugia delivered remarks on the progress made by Georgia on the path of European integration, he also mentioned the outstanding importance of EU support in the aforementioned process.

 

The high-ranking officials discussed the importance of coordinated actions to overcome existing challenges, noting, that they welcome the European aspirations of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine and thanked them for participating in the event.

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili attended the Ministerial meeting in the Czech Republic.
