Otar Shamugia visited the wine cellar created through the state financial support in the municipality of Akhmeta

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia, together with the State Representative of the Kakheti region,  Mr. Giorgi Aladashvili inspected the wine cellar created through the state financial support in the village of Ozhio, Akhmeta municipality.

The farmer, Beka Nakhutsrishvili has benefited from the programs of the Rural Development Agency, whereupon, he received grant funding exceeding GEL 52,000 and a preferential agro-credit amounting to GEL 230,000 for setting up a wine cellar. 

Under the frame of the co-financing program for agricultural mechanization, the farmer has purchased agricultural equipment worth GEL 25,000, where state co-financing amounted to 35% of the cost. Beka Nakhutsrishvili winery produces 10,000 bottles of wine annually, which is sold on the local market. 

65 wine cellars and enterprises have been financed under the projects/programs of the Rural Development Agency, with a total investment of GEL 19 million, and the state co-financing exceeding GEL 7 million.
