Otar Shamugia visited the family-owned winery ‘’Bekauri Vineyards’’
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia and the State Representative of Kakheti region Mr. Giorgi Aladashvili visited the family-owned winery ‘’Bekauri Vineyards’’ in the village of Zemokhodasheni, Akhmeta Municipality. The state officials got acquainted with the grapes delivery process and inspected the winery "Bekauri Vineyards".
"Bekauri Vineyards" LLC owns vineyards planted on more than 100 hectares of agricultural land area in Akhmeta, Telavi and Kvareli municipalities. The company benefited from preferential agro-credit worth GEL 3 million; In total, 50 people are employed in the company. "Bekauri Vineyards" plans to sell up to 60,000 bottles of wine on the Chinese market in 2022.
It should be mentioned, that preferential agro-credit worth GEL 316 million is issued, and the co-financing of the state exceeds GEL 58 million for the development of wine production across the country.
