George Khanishvili hosted the representatives of the World Bank Mission

Mr. George Khanishvili, the First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture held a meeting with the representatives of the World Bank Mission.

During the working meeting, the parties summed up the results of the ‘’Georgia- Irrigation and Land Market Development Project’’ (GILMDP) and highlighted issues related to the implementation of the "Georgia’s Rural Agricultural Irrigation and Land Project" (GRAIL) 


With the support of the World Bank, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia is working on a new project (GRAIL), which envisages investments in the irrigation, land and agriculture sectors.

According to the First Deputy Minister, "Georgia’s Rural Agricultural Irrigation and Land Project" (GRAIL) will be launched in the near future, which will contribute to the development of sustainable agriculture in Georgia.


During the meeting, the representatives of the World Bank mission emphasized the importance of the progress made in the development of irrigation infrastructure in the country, also outcomes achieved within the framework of the ‘’Georgia - Irrigation and Land Market Development (GILMDP) project.
