Solomon Pavliashvili participates in the meeting for Agriculture Ministers of EaP and EU countries in Tartu, Republic of Estonia.

The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili participated in the High-level meeting for Agriculture Ministers of EaP and EU countries in Tartu, Republic of Estonia.

 

The event was held in Tartu in conjunction with the scientific conference “Circular Bioeconomy - a shift towards sustainable food production" and the Estonian Annual Agricultural EXPO 2022.

 

Mr. Pavliashvili made remarks during the conference, emphasizing the achievements and challenges in building the circular economy in Georgia, he also expressed his desire to deepen cooperation with the countries of the European Union and the Eastern Partnership regarding the development of the Circular Bioeconomy.

 

The Deputy Minister underlined the importance of promoting the green economy in the country through the development of the bio-economy and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions to achieve sustainable development goals.

 

Within the framework of the Ministerial meeting, the participants visited the demo plant for processing the wood-based bio-material, which operates under the principles of the green economy.
