Georgia participates in the International Agricultural Exhibition in Saudi Arabia for the first time

For the first time this year, Georgia participates in the Saudi Agriculture Exhibition 2022 (https://saudi-agriculture.com) through the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, the Rural Development Agency and the Embassy of Georgia in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center hosted the large-scale exhibition event.

The Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Vakhtang Jaoshvili, and representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia attended the opening of the large-scale exhibition in Riyadh.
"Saudi Arabia is one of the fastest growing economies with a population of around 36 million. Considering natural, and environmental factors, Saudi Arabia is increasingly dependent on imports of agricultural products. Currently, Georgian products are already presented in the local trade network, however, considering the current market demand, I believe, that the participation of Georgian companies in such a large-scale exhibition will contribute to the promotion of Georgian products, and the growth of exports not only in Saudi Arabia, but in the Middle East region as well", Mr. Vakhtang Jaoshvili stated.

The Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Vakhtang Jaoshvili hosted the Minister of Environmental Protection, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Fadli at the National exhibition stand of Georgia, where The Ambassador presented Georgian products to the Minister.


The guests have an opportunity to visit the Georgian exhibition stand and get familiar with the products showcased by 10 Georgian agricultural companies: "NUTS.GE" LLC, "Cooperative Racha Natural Product’’, "Georgia Naturals" LLC, "Royal Berry" LTD, " ‘’Tskali Margebeli (Healthy Water)" LTD, "Domain Svanidze" LTD,  "Herbia" LTD, "Khoni Plantations" LLC, "Kula" LLC, "Agroqiziki" LTD products. The exhibition stand presents Georgian walnuts, hazelnuts, honey, blueberries, raspberries, tkemali, sauce, water, mineral water, natural fruit juice, spices, lamb, and olive oil.

According to the representatives of the companies, the state support enabling Georgian companies to participate in international exhibitions is crucial for the diversification of export markets and promotion of Georgian agri-food products in the global markets.



Saudi Agriculture International Trade Exhibition 2022 is the largest exhibition in Saudi Arabia, which is carried out under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This year, around 40 countries and 400 local and international companies are participating in the respective exhibition. Every year, the number of visitors to the exhibition reaches 25,000. The participants and visitors have the opportunity to get acquainted with the innovations in the agriculture and food industry, modern technologies introduced by leading companies, and their manufactured equipment.

The exhibition is the best platform for entrepreneurs to establish business contacts, expand their businesses and promote the development of the agri-food sector.
