George Khanishvili paid an official visit to the State of Israel.

Mr. George Khanishvili, the First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture paid an official visit to the State of Israel.

Within the framework of the visit, the Georgian delegation, together with the official representation of Georgia to Israel attended the first international summit on the topic "Sea and the Future - Food from the Sea & the Desert’’.

 

The participants addressed issues related to the cutting-edge technologies for food production in the fields of agriculture, desert, and sea, moreover, future visions, current achievements, the experience of the State of Israel, and prospects of future cooperation between the countries were presented along with the environmental challenges and the need to take joint steps to combat climate change.

Within the framework of the visit, the First Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. George Khanishvili was hosted by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel, Mr. Oded Forer.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of deepening trade relations between the two countries. Special attention was paid to the sharing of knowledge and relevant experiences from the field, also professional retraining programs.

The centuries-old friendly relations between the two countries were emphasized by the parties during the meeting.
