Minister of Environmental and Agriculture Otar Shamugia meets Sameh Wahba, Regional Director for Sustainable Development at the World Bank’s Europe and Central Asia region
During the meeting, the parties discussed current projects and prospects for future cooperation. The conversation touched upon issues of deepening cooperation in sustainable land management, the development of irrigation systems, also climate change mitigation efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Mr. Shamugia expressed his gratitude and showed sincere appreciation to the World Bank team for close and effective cooperation throughout the years.
According to Mr. Vahba, Georgia is a reliable partner for the World Bank, and active cooperation with the Georgian side will be further continued.
The World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Mr. Sebastian Molyneus, the First Deputy Minister, Mr. George Khanishvili, and the Heads of relevant departments and agencies within the system of the Ministry attended the meeting.
