Otar Shamugia meets the Ambassador of Hungary to Georgia Anna Maria Shiko


The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia hosted the Ambassador of Hungary to Georgia Mrs. Anna Maria Shiko.



During the meeting, the Minister showed appreciation to the Ambassador for long-standing cooperation and expressed willingness to share Hungary's experience in the environmental protection and agricultural development fields. The conversation touched upon the development of agritourism, production of seed and agricultural products, increase in wine export, also deepening cooperation in the livestock sector in Georgia.


 " Sharing Hungary's experience is particularly important in the rapprochement process with the European Union. We aim to ensure food security in the country and help farmers to produce quality products to the greatest extent possible. I believe, that with the joint efforts, our cooperation will be mutually beneficial", said Mr. Otar Shamugia.


Mrs. Anna Maria Shiko emphasized the importance of friendly and close partnership relations between the two countries and expressed willingness to deepen cooperation with Georgia in the environmental protection and agricultural fields, noting that the latter is a reliable partner country to Hungary.


As stated by the Ambassador, she would be happy to see more Georgian products in Hungary and more Hungarian products in Georgia.


 The representatives of the relevant service attended the meeting in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
