Otar Shamugia congratulated the employees of the Agencies operating within the system of the Ministry on the upcoming holidays of Christmas and New Year.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia, congratulated the employees of the agencies included in the system of the Ministry on Christmas and the New Year, putting special emphasis on those who were performing their duty on New Year's Eve.

"I congratulate all citizens of Georgia on Christmas and the New Year. I wish peace, health, and prosperity to all families. 2023 will be the year of even greater achievements and successes. Together, we will work towards our goals and make it with our best endeavors.
We shall all work together to achieve our goals and put our best efforts forward to accomplish them.
"I would like to congratulate each employee of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, thank them for their work, and wish them more success and progress in 2023," said Otar Shamugia.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Mr. Otar Shamugia, together with the Head of the Environmental Supervision Department, Levan Jgharkava, and the Head of the National Environmental Agency, Tamar Pitskhelauri, visited the employees of the Eastern Regional Division of the Environmental Supervision Department and the Short-Term Weather Forecasts and Telecommunications Division of the National Environment Agency and wished them a happy new year and brought them pastries and sweets.


The Department of Environmental Supervision employees carry out continuous, 24-hour patrolling throughout the country to detect, eliminate, and prevent environmental violations. They also respond immediately to messages received on the hotline (153) of the Ministry.

The employees of the National Environmental Agency's Short-Term Weather Forecasts and Telecommunications Division ensure continuous, 24-hour preparation and dissemination of the current weather forecast, uploading processed data on the website, and providing timely delivery of forecasting information to the relevant agencies.

The staff members of the National Environmental Agency's Short-Term Weather Forecasts and Telecommunications Division make sure that the current weather forecast is prepared and distributed continuously throughout the day and night, upload processed data to the website, and deliver forecasting information to the appropriate agencies on time.
