The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences sign a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Mr. Otar Shamugia, and the President of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences Mr. Guram Aleksidze signed the Memorandum of Cooperation. 

The  respective Agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and the Academy to promote sustainable and safe rural and agricultural development and also to ensure the rational use of resource potential, which will be based on scientific potential

''I am delighted with the prospect of renewed collaboration with the Academy of Agricultural Sciences under the terms of the Memorandum of Cooperation. Moreover, I believe that our joint efforts will make the development of all areas of the field even more effective," said Mr. Otar Shamugia.

It is worth mentioning that the Memorandum fosters collaboration to address the sector-specific tasks and development of recommendations with the cooperation of the Ministry, the agencies within the system of the Ministry, and the scientific departments of the Academy.

The First Deputy Minister Mr. George Khanishvili, Deputy Ministers Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili, and Mr. Kakha Kakabadze, Vice President of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences Mr. Givi Japaridze, and representatives of relevant services of the Ministry and members of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences attended the event at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
